 AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF

RIVERTON, COUNTY OF BURLINGTON, STATE

OF NEW JERSEY, GOVERNING REMOVAL OF TREES AND SHRUBS AMENDING THE BOROUGH CODE TO ADD CHAPTER 120 TITLED “TREE AND SHRUB REMOVAL”

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced on the first reading by the Borough Council of the Borough of Riverton on October 17, 2023 and shall be considered for final adoption after a public hearing on November 21, 2023, at 7:00pm at the Riverton Borough Hall at 505A Howard Street, Riverton Borough 08077.

A copy of the Ordinance may be obtained without cost by any member of the general public at the Clerk’s Office by calling 856-829-0120 on week days between the hours of 8:30am and 4:00pm or may be viewed in the official Borough website at: https://riverton-nj.com/current-codes-and-ordinances/.

EXPLANATORY STATEMENT

An ordinance to establish requirements and governance by adding Chapter 120 to the Borough Code of the Borough of Riverton for tree removal and replacement and establishing penalties for noncompliance in the Borough of Riverton  that shall protect the environment, public health, safety and welfare.
