NOTICE TO BIDDERS
SOLID WASTE COLLECTION
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Borough of Riverton, New Jersey, for the collection and disposal of solid waste for the Borough of Riverton. Bids will be opened and read in public on Tuesday October 27, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. prevailing time at the Borough Hall, 505A Howard Street, Riverton, New Jersey.
Uniform Bid Specifications and forms for proposals for the proposed work have been filed in the Office of the Municipal Clerk, at the Borough Hall, 505A Howard Street, Riverton, New Jersey. Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the specifications by the Municipal Clerk upon request at no charge. If documents are requested to be mailed, the bidder shall provide a postage paid pre addressed label to the Borough Clerk.
Bids must be made on standard proposal forms in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications; must be enclosed in sealed envelopes having the name and address of the bidder and name of the project on the outside; addressed to the Municipal Clerk; and must be accompanied by certain required documents and a bid guarantee for not less than ten (10) percent of the highest bid, for any option for the year 2027, but not in excess of $20,000.00 and must be delivered at the place and on the hour named. The standard proposal form is attached to the specifications, copies of which will be furnished on application to the Municipal Clerk. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq.
The Borough Council reserves the right to study the proposals up to sixty (60) days before announcing their decision and the right to reject any and all bids and proposals, in whole or in part, or to make awards to such bidder or bidders, who, in the judgment of the Owner, makes the most advantageous bid, and to waive such informalities as may be permitted by law.
