Congratulations to Riverton Councilwoman Leslie Harrison for receiving the Outstanding Women of Burlington County Award for Community Service.

Leslie is the first Black American to be appointed to serve on the Riverton Council. She is Pastor of Riverton’s Mount Zion AME Church. Her ministry specializes in pastoral care, being the “voice” for the voiceless by supporting individuals holistically as they navigate the struggles of mental health diseases and find their voice in relationships.

She is Board Treasurer of the New Jersey Harm Reduction Coalition, an organization that helps bridge the continuum of care for substance use disorder.

Leslie is employed as a Bereavement Program Coordinator at BAYADA Home Health and Hospice. And she is founder of Let It Flow Enterprises, an organization that focuses on increasing confidence of young female entrepreneurs.

She is also an adjunct professor for the School of Christian Ministry at Eastern University in St. Davids, PA

She is a longtime volunteer with the town’s Historic Preservation Committee and the Riverton 4th of July Committee.
