ORDINANCE NO. O-12-2026

 

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 123, TRAFFIC, § 123-27.1, SCHEDULE VA, DISABLED PERSONS PARKING, OF THE CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF RIVERTON

 

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Ordinance identified by Title as hereinafter set forth as introduced and passed upon first reading at a meeting of the Riverton Governing Body, in the County of Burlington, State of New Jersey, held on September 16, 2026.  The same Ordinance will be further considered for final passage, after a public hearing during a meeting of the Riverton Governing Body to be held on October 21, 2026, commencing at 6:30 pm, prevailing time, or at any time and place to which such meeting from time to time may be adjourned.

EXPLANATORY STATEMENT

 

This ordinance amends the Borough of Riverton Traffic Code to establish a designated disabled persons parking space on the north side of Howard Street. The designated parking area will extend from a point 68.10 feet east of Main Street to a point 320.2 feet west of Fifth Street, providing accessible parking accommodation for individuals with disabilities. The ordinance also includes standard severability, repealer, and effective date provisions. The amendment is intended to provide additional accessible parking for qualified disabled persons located at 519 Howard Street.
