EXPLANATORY STATEMENT
This ordinance amends several sections of the Borough Code to clarify that the Code Enforcement Official may authorize a qualified designee to act on their behalf when carrying out code enforcement duties. The amendment does not create new enforcement powers or regulations; it simply allows an authorized representative to perform existing responsibilities to help ensure efficient, timely, and uninterrupted administration and enforcement of the Borough Code. As a result, residents may experience more efficient and timely service, while the enforcement standards and processes remain unchanged.
