PUBLIC NOTICE OF DECISION
WHEREAS, on August 15, 2023, the Borough introduced Ordinance O-2023-05 upon first reading that will create a Historic Preservation Commission whose jurisdiction will be to govern applications for demolition in the Borough of Riverton; and
WHEREAS upon further review of the introduced Ordinance O-2023-05, the content changes proposed by the Planning Board, the Historic Preservation Commission Roundtable Working Group and Riverton residents were substantive and therefore shall prevent Ordinance O-2023-05 from advancing to a second reading.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the Borough of Riverton, County of Burlington, State of New Jersey that:
- It is the desire of the Governing Body Ordinance O-2023-05 that is hereby rescinded by passage of Resolution #112-2023 on September 19, 2023
- The Governing Body proceeded with an amended version of an ordinance to create an Historic Preservation Commission, that Ordinance is numbered O-2023-05(A).
