The construction or alternation to existing structures or the erection of any fence or sign requires a building permit which is to be applied for at the Borough Hall.

Snow Conditions
Residents must clear their sidewalks within 24 hours after a snowfall. Violators will be subject to a fine in Municipal Court. COUNCIL REQUESTS YOUR HELP FOR SNOW REMOVAL: We can all help the Street Department in these ways: When two inches of snow or more are forecast, please remove vehicles from streets if possible; otherwise, please park all vehicles on the odd-numbered house side of your street; after plows have cleared snow from the middle and empty side, please move all vehicles to cleared side of the street so plows can finish snow-removal from the streets. It is also requested that if live near a fire hydrant, that you please clear around it so that the volunteer fire department will be able to access it in case of an emergency. Everyone helps, everyone benefits. Thank you.

Curb and Sidewalk Maintenance
